dog with a bad tooth | can a bad tooth kill a dog

can a bad tooth kill a dog? Bad breath is a symptom of bad dental health. It can also be caused by dry mouth and gum disease, which are both associated with diabetes. Bad breath in dogs may have no cause at all, or could be from an ear infection or a foreign object lodged in the digestive system. You should take your dog to the vet if you notice that he has bad breath for no apparent reason or excessive drooling. The sooner you treat it, the better your dog will feel and smell!

    tooth infection

A tooth infection, or dental disease, could be a sign of oral cancer. Dogs with dental problems are usually in pain and will not eat well. They may also have bad breath and difficulty chewing due to an infected molar. The first step is to take your dog to the vet for a checkup and exam of his mouth. Your veterinarian can help confirm if there is an infection in one or more teeth by performing a thorough mouth inspection while looking at x-rays, taking blood tests and getting a biopsy sample from the affected area.
