Did you recognize that quality food and a diet are essential factors to stay your dog healthy?

actually , there are many diseases that affect dogs only due to lack of attention to the standard of food provided to them.

Proper feeding of dogs contributes to raising immunity and helping the dog to deal with various diseases, and proper nutrition for dogs gives them an extended life and greater efficiency.

-In this article, we’ll inform you of the 5 most vital diseases that affect your dog because of malnutrition or because of improper nutrition. Experts have found that there are some health problems that appear in dogs that are directly suffering from their diet.

5 diseases that affect dogs because of malnutrition

1 – Obesity affects dogs because of the neglect of proper nutrition:

Obesity is a plague of many dogs, affecting quite 50% of dogs in America. Worse, obese dogs are more likely to develop arthritis, diabetes, high vital sign, and cancer.

According to the Society for the Control of Pet Obesity ( APOP ), the time period of pets is often suffering from obesity.

Unfortunately, of all the pets that veterinarians examined during a study by the association found they were obese.

The funny part of the study was that over 90% of dog owners believed their pets were at their normal weight before doing the study for them.

So concentrate on the number of calories and therefore the amount of fat in pet food. Although both are important within the diet, overeating can cause or increase obesity in dogs .. Read: How are you able to calculate the calories your dog needs daily?

Likewise, finding a diet suitable for dogs and limiting the number of calories and therefore the amount of fat can help reduce the load of the dog who is overweight or obese, and ultimately, it’ll help the dog to measure in healthiness.

To determine the perfect weight for your pet by consulting your veterinarian .. Read: does one feed your dog the proper amounts daily?

    2- Pancreatitis:

Pancreatitis develops when the pancreas becomes inflamed, causing digestive enzymes to be released into the abdomen. If this happens, digestive enzymes will begin to destroy fats and proteins in other organs, also as within the pancreas.

It is known that fats in pet food are linked to the event of pancreatitis and may stimulate the secretion of a hormone that stimulates the pancreas to secrete hormones of the gastrointestinal system .. Read: Pancreatitis in dogs

Eating fats may increase your risk of developing pancreatitis. If your dog is already affected by pancreatitis, you ought to start providing simple food for low-fat and easy-to-digest dogs.

    3- Bladder stones:

Not all bladder stones are equivalent. they will contain different types of minerals and other substances. for instance, bladder stones contain calcium oxalate primarily from calcium, while the struvite is especially composed of magnesium and phosphate (phosphorus).

Bladder stones may start small, but over time they will increase in number and size, causing problems within the urine like a change within the color of urine or difficulty passing urine or a change in urine to red mixed with blood.

Talk to your vet if you think that your dog has bladder stones. He can determine the sort of cystolith and recommend food to dissolve or perform surgery to get rid of it if it’s a kind that can’t be dissolved with food like calcium oxalate. He also can recommend a special diet that will help deter bladder stones.

Even if your dog doesn’t currently have bladder stones, he may enjoy a low-calcium and phosphorous diet. Your veterinarian will know what’s best for your dog’s health.

    4- Heart diseases in dogs:

Dogs often suffer from heart conditions like us, especially if their diet isn’t properly balanced. one of the most factors of a heart condition in dogs is eating sodium (salt).

Also, the rise in sodium within the diet causes a rise within the level of sodium within the blood, and these high levels of sodium cause water retention within the blood vessels and high vital sign .. Read: Do dogs get heart condition?

With increased vital signs, the guts within the sick dog must still expand to beat increased pressure so as to pump blood from the ventricles.

Do you feed your dog home-cooked food? Does the dog’s current food contain an outsized amount of sodium? ask your veterinarian about this stuff and the way your dog can enjoy a healthy, low-salt diet.

    5- Diarrhea:

Dogs often experience bouts of diarrhea, but there are two main sorts of diarrhea: small bowel diarrhea and enormous intestine diarrhea. Note that dogs with intestine diarrhea usually produce large amounts of sentimental stools, but they are doing this several times each day.

When a colon disorder occurs, dogs with stress usually develop small amounts of watery stools frequently throughout the day.

Discuss with your veterinarian how fats, fibers, calcium, phosphorous, and other nutrients play a crucial role in your dog’s health, because it may have new and important nutritional recommendations for your dog’s health.
